Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors?

I had the fortune of experiencing the quality-of-service Dowling & Yahnke provides to their clients. I knew the first-rate service and deep knowledge of the Lead Advisors and know that I will be learning from the best.

What do you find most rewarding about working at Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors?

I love the philosophy and approach that the services we offer are people-centric, and not just about the process of investment and growth. Everyone I have come into contact at the Firm truly cares about the people they are working with, both clients and coworkers.

What is your favorite family tradition?

My husband and I decided when our daughter was young that family memories are a life-long gift – so we created a new family tradition. We’d pull our daughter from school one day midweek once Disneyland had put up their holiday decorations, and the three of us would spend our day together at the Happiest Place on Earth. To this day she still looks forward to the tradition and she’s a junior in college!

What is your favorite hobby?  Why?

I love jigsaw puzzles. I think it forces you to see things differently – not so literally – and to take your preconceived idea of how something should fit together and turns it on its head. Sometimes you solve it by the shape and sometimes you solve it by the colors. I find myself applying those skills to tasks I perform in the workplace.

What is your personal motto or mantra? Why?

ALWAYS look for the silver lining. Life can be pretty tough at times, but if you look for some good in any given grim situation and find a positive side to it, however small, it makes it a little easier. I am a firm believer in having a positive attitude towards the biggest challenges the universe might pass my way.

What is the best gift you’ve ever received? Why?

I was gifted the adoption of two elephants at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya. I love animals, especially elephants. This organization rescues orphaned elephants, hand raises them (which means bottle feeding every 4 hours, even through the night, so their keeper will sleep in the stall with them) and help integrate them back into the wild. To know that we are helping save orphaned animals that are eventually going to be reintegrated into the wild was the best gift ever.
