Lauren J. Blaney

Associate Financial Planner

Lauren joined Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors in 2022.  She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in finance.

Lauren worked for several years at Charles Schwab, in Washington, D.C. She handled client service solutions, built financial plans, and helped support the growth and development of a wealth management practice.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling to tropical destinations, hiking in state or national parks, and reading a great mystery novel.

What inspired you to work in the financial industry?

I was drawn to the financial industry because I wanted to make a positive impact in my community and finance can provide so many opportunities to help people achieve their lifelong goals.  I love how the industry is always changing and adapting which allows for continuous learning and growth.

Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors?

I knew during my interview that this is a place I wanted to work.  Everyone is so welcoming, friendly, and really engaged in working together to ensure everyone is doing their personal best.

What is your favorite vacation spot? Why?

Kauai, Hawaii!  It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen with its beaches and tropical forests.  I have great memories going there with my family and there are so many great outdoor activities to experience.

What is your favorite hobby?  Why?

My favorite hobby is cooking because I love how food brings people together.  I really enjoy experimenting with different ingredients and creating delicious meals to share with family or friends.

What is your personal motto or mantra? Why?

“There is no time like the present.”  It reminds me to make the changes or improvements I want to see in my life today and to not put things off.

I am happiest when:

I am traveling with family and friends.  I love to explore new places and having unique experiences with the people I am closest to.  Most recently, I went to Costa Rica with my mom and sister.
