Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors?
I joined Dowling & Yahnke ultimately as the result of meeting one of the Lead Advisors. I spoke with him at length about the overall client experience and culture of the Firm. I was truly taken aback by the level of care and attention to detail D&Y provides to servicing their clients. When I learned that a position was available, I knew that it would be a great fit for me.
What do you find most rewarding about working at Dowling & Yahnke?
I find it rewarding being on a team of intelligent and diligent people who bring their best each day to the office. The culture across the Firm is so supportive. I feel empowered and motivated to work cohesively with my team. I truly feel happy to come into work and look forward to seeing my fellow team members.
What is your favorite place in San Diego? Why?
Although I still feel as if I’m relatively new to San Diego, I love so many of the beautiful beaches and hikes the city has to offer. Some of my favorite spots include Balboa Park, Torrey Pines State Reserve, and Silver Strand Beach.
What is the best concert you ever attended?
The best concert I’ve ever attended was Sigur Rós at the Hollywood Bowl. I lived in Los Angeles for six years and attended concerts regularly, but this one show stood out among the rest. I won’t ever forget that warm summer night spent picnicking in an outdoor amphitheater, mixed with the ethereal sounds of Icelandic post-rock and an immersive light show to boot.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Our family is spread across the country, so we make a point to spend the holiday week between Christmas and New Year together. It’s probably the happiest time of the year for all of us, and it’s a week I look forward to every year!
