What inspired you to work in the financial industry?

My mother, who is a CPA, is the reason I wanted to work in finance.  Seeing her make a meaningful impact in clients’ lives has influenced me to want to help people achieve their financial goals.

Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors?

In my job search, I found that Dowling & Yahnke’s team of highly credentialed and successful professionals provides a desirable environment to advance my career.

What is your favorite vacation spot? Why?

My favorite vacation spot is an island called Tavarua, right off the coast of Fiji.  It’s known as the heart shaped island.  It is most famous for its world class surf breaks, as well as the welcoming culture of its native people.  I was fortunate enough to visit this island with my family and surf some of the best waves of my life.

What is your favorite hobby?  Why?

Surfing – a sport, hobby, and lifestyle that I was raised on here in San Diego.  Surfing is just about as close as you can become with nature, with no two days being the same.  It’s something that has always kept me in great physical shape and been a challenging/competitive sport to push my limits.

What is your personal motto or mantra? Why?

“Man finds meaning when he invests himself in someone or something beyond himself.”  This quote embodies the example my parents have persistently set throughout my life.  It is a concept I have found to be true from personal experience and is something I strive for each day.

What is your favorite family tradition?

My favorite family tradition is camping in the Sierras, specifically Kings Canyon National Park.  Most summers my immediate and extended family of 14 would spend a week-long trip living as simply as possible, while getting to experience some of the most gorgeous mountain ranges California has to offer.
